Lausanne, Switzerland, August 13, 2020 – On Wednesday, Brazilian players took to Instagram to celebrate the eight-year anniversary of their gold medal triumph at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

After Brazil's women claimed their first ever Olympic gold in Beijing in 2008, they again claimed victory in their next campaign at London 2012, beating the United States in the final 3-1 (11-25, 25-17, 25-20, 25-17).

Fabiana Claudino and Sheilla Castro, who both made a thrilling return to the national team line-up at the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup in Japan, shared photos from their gold medal match win.

Two-time Olympic gold medallist Fabiana Oliveira, who is now a volleyball commentator, posted a photo with Fabiana and Sheilla with their medals.

Thaisa Menezes added that no captions were needed for the top podium photo she posted.
