The portuguese captain Joao Jose regreted the defeat against Spain. "There's not much to tell; we lost; Spain was better, and that's all we can say"

The feelings were quite different for the spanish captain, Rafael Pascual, who was glad to see how Spain could recover from the olympic qualification tournament disapointment. "I think we played a good game today at every level and we are very glad for it"

Portugal head coach Juan Diaz said: "We made a lot of mistakes today. It is not a matter of losing but the way we lost and the image we gave".

"The best thing we can say is that after such a hard week, we could manage to come to the court and give a good performance", said spanish head coach, Francisco Hervas
