China vs USA

The thundering cheering team enhanced the spirit of each China player. China managed to a flying start leading 6-3 in the beginning. However, the USA roared back with their mighty attacks to win the hard-fought first set 25-20.

As the second set began, China regained form and rhythm and quickly jumped into a 7-2 lead. After the first timeout, USA tried to bounce back and narrow the gap to 16-14. However, both sides fought almost evenly after twenties all. Together with concrete defense and exceptional spikes of the China team, they succeeded to take the set 28-26 after an exciting deuce.

USA took the lead throughout the third set. China tried to catch up by accommodating different tactics such as back, quick and back court attacks. The aggressive spikes made by USA number 15, Logan Tom and number 1, Prikeba Phipps gave no turn around for China in the set.

USA kept up with their assault in the forth set and quickly grapped a 5-1 lead. Yet, with the intelligent leadership of the China team's Captain, no.2, Feng Kun, China was able to break away and regained their composure to 9-8 lead after the first timeout. China kept on widening the gap with powerful attacks. Together with the encouraging applause and cheers from the spectators, China won the set by 25-20.

Both teams performed their best in the final set. The Chinese managed to provide promising blocks which led to their glorious victory.
