Banking on the brilliant game of Malgorzata Niemczyk-Wolska, the Polish overcome the tough challenge from the Koreans to win the first set.

Korea stepped up in the second set, taking the lead at 14-13 which Poland quickly erased, grabbing the upperhand at 18-17 and never looked back.

Poland sustained its performance in the third set, leading 12-8 before Korea rallied behind Choi Kwang-hee's powerful spikes to trim the gap at 19-21. Aleksandra Przybysz and Niemczk-Wolska scored two points each to preserve the victory.
