Match 30 Press conference
CHEN, Zhonghe (CHI Head Coach)
"Both teams performed very well today. Two key players of the Italian team did not play in the match. We were able to grasp the opportunities at crucial moments, and we did pretty well."

"As we were able to perform up to our expectation, therefore we gained confidence in the match. We still have to improve on our attacks and blocks."

FENG, Kun (CHI Captain)
"Italy is an excellent team. Their players are fast and have the advantage of being tall. It was not easy to beat them. Both teams' performances were of very high calibre. Our performance was not consistent in the beginning. However, we managed to grasp the opportunities at crucial moments."

"Even without Zhao Ruirui in the team, her replacement Zhang Ping is getting better and better. There are five other strong teams besides China, namely Russia, Italy, USA, Cuba and Brazil. Whoever will win the gold medal in the Olympic Games in Athens depends on the team's on court performance."

BONITTA, Marco (ITA Head Coach)
"I think it was a very good match. We did make some mistakes in this match."

"I did not play today because in the match against USA the day before, I injured my back slightly."

RINIERI, Simona (ITA Captain)
"It was a high level match against China. We made some mistakes in receiving. I am sure that we will do much better in the future. I hope to meet with China again in the Olympic Games."
