serbia & Montenegro fights hard to beat India
Serbia, which lost to Asia champion Korea in its opening match, fought hard against another Asian gteam, India, which did not qualify, but is participating as the host team. It was an exciting encounter and the jam-packed stadium saw the home team fight all the way before losing the five-setter. Serbia made a good start, but India made it 2-2 and in the decider with good block Serbia managed to win its first match in two encounters. For India Sspiker Srikanth played superbly and setter Kamaraj also played well. In fact, India led by three points in the third set and lost it. Otherwise it would have the home team's match. India played its heart out and Serbia's poor first pass made it struggle.
