2007 FIVB Girls' Youth World Championship

Match Description

Korea defeated Mexico

Korean fans with their flag in the stands in Tijuana

Korea’s fast combinations and quick attacks created difficulties to the Mexican defense in the first set and the Asians commanded all the way to win 25-19 with a balanced attack created by their setter Eun-Mi Si.

The effective serves by the Koreans were tough to handle by the Mexicans and the combined attack of Min-Kyoung Hwang and Ju-Yeon Lee carried their side to a more easy victory 25-17 in the second set.

The Mexicans battled back and stayed in contention for the most part of the third set but were unable to win the key points and finally Korea took the match with a triumph 25-20 winning five of the last six points played.
