Good start for the U.S. team in Pool H

Led by attacker Jeremy Dejno, who after the first round of the Boys World Championship cites the ranking of the best spiker of all the 16 teams playing in italy, caught the U.S. boys in the first match of Pool H in Bassano del Grappa, a good start against Algeria. Dejno made not only in the attack (3) point, but took care of two service-winners of important points. Even U.S. captain Taylor Sandor get two aces. After 21 minutes the first set went to 25-17 at the U.S. boys.

In the second set, the players of coach Andy Read lacked the necessary concentration. Algeria was more into the game and went on 8-4 and 16-12 lead. Only at 19-19 and then 22-22 at the U.S. team reach the compensation could, but Algeria did in the set no longer take the hand (25-22). Best attacker in the team of Algerian coach A. Djehiche were Ghenaim Islam and Raouf Nedjar each with five points.

Set three were the U.S. boys again concentrated and had little problems to prevail with 25-17. Algeria made only five points in attack, the U.S. 14 and was also better in the block (6-2).

Similar to set two ran the fourth. Algeria became stronger again. Raouf Nedjar now made as many as seven points in the attack, the second-best attacker was Imed Baadji with five points. After 24 minutes the set went to 25-20 with Algeria and the tie-breaker had to make the decision.

Here, the U.S. boys were back from the start, their rhythm. At 8-4 were changed for the last time the sides. The last point to first victory in Pool H for the U.S. team Dylan Davis made an attack on position three (15-6).
