This wing spiker is the "killer" of the Egypt team. He plays for the club of Zamalek  since he was 8. With his team, he won a league and a cup titles as well as the African Cup of Clubs Championship in 2008 and 2009. He was called for the first time in the national selection in 2001, when he played the FIVB Youth World Championship. He is one of the key players of the Egyptian team.

With the men's national team he participated in several international competitions: 
Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008.
FIVB World League in 2008,2007 and 2006.
Qualification to WCH Japan in 2006.
Qualification to WGCC Japan 2005, ranking fifth.
Mediterranean Games in Spain in 2005, winning a g
old medal.
United Islamic Championship in Saudi Arabia in 2005, finishing second.
All Arab Games in Algeria in 2004, obtaining the title.
