Revenge is sweet for Poland

The Polish team celebrate

Korea

Head Coach Kim Myeong-Soo: There were some badly injured players, but I think they did their best. The combination between the setter and the attackers was not so good because of our lack of practice.

Captain Kim Sa-Nee: It was a close game, so a bad one to lose. We had a few injured players in the team who played so hard, but we could not succeed in the last few minutes.

Kim Yeon-Koung: We prepared very hard for this game but could not play well. I want to play better in the next match.

Poland

Head Coach Ireneusz Klos: I am very happy to win and take revenge against Korea after losing to them in the World Grand Prix this year. What was bad about the match was that we could not win the fourth set when we led 21-17 due to our lack of concentration.

Captain Joanna Mirek: It was a very hard match, so I am relieved to win. We were very concentrated because we knew the Korean team well from the Grand Prix, so we really wanted to win this match.
