Gino Vegas Urrutia elected President of Peruvian Volleyball Federation


Gino Vegas Urrutia was elected as the new Peruvian Volleyball Federation President during the National Federation’s virtual assembly.

Vegas Urrutia won the elections with 22 votes in favour, 18 against, one abstention and one absence. A volleyball player for over 15 years, Urrutia played for the Club de Regatas Lima, and has since dedicated his life to the sport. As a sports leader, he has led various volleyball commissions and boards of the Peruvian Volleyball Federation and South American Volleyball Confederation. 

The new Board of Directors will take office on 1 January 2021 for a period of four years and includes the following members:

President - Gino Mario Vegas Urrutia

Vice President - Carlos Edwin Goicochea Cabada

Secretary - Yacquelina Rosa Cervantes Velásquez

Treasurer - Carlos Fernando Vicente Mamani 

Member of National Affairs - Silvió Cerrón Uceda

Member of Sports Organisation - María Evelyn Cerna Gálvez

Fiscal - Juan Alberto Béjar Vílchez
