Video: The Perfect Spike

Lausanne, Switzerland, February 5, 2020 – At its best the spike is the perfect end to a volleyball team's attacking move. 

It combines, grace, power, speed and precision, and guarantees a spectacular way to win points. 

In this video, the FIVB catches up with some of the best spikers in world volleyball to find out what goes into making the perfect spike. 

USA’s Matthew Anderson, Brazil’s Wallace De Souza, Japan’s Yuki Ishikawa and Italy’s Luca Vettori share their thoughts on what makes the perfect spike, and you can watch all four in action in the video.
