Video: Sorum and Mol revisit famous winner

Mol (centre) and Sorum won a second Vienna title in 2019
Rome, Italy, September 5, 2019 – Christian Sorum and Anders Mol have plenty of winning points to remember from the 2018 and 2019 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tours, and they were given the chance to watch one of their favourites from this year's Vienna Major.

The Norwegian pair – who are currently in action at the Rome 2019 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Finals  - have won back-to-back gold at the Vienna 5-Star and their most recent success came against Brazil’s Alison Cerutti and Alvaro Filho whom they beat 2-0 (21-11, 21-17) in the gold medal match.

The video features both teams reaching new heights as they fight hard to win the point over 21 touches. Mol and Alison duel at the net, while Sorum and Alvaro are whirls of movement at the back of the court as they strive to keep the ball alive.

Early on Mol flings away his hat and glasses, and it his block of Alison’s clever touch that eventually wins the point. It pulls them to a 9-10 deficit in the second set before the Norwegians go on to claim the match.

Have a watch of their reaction to a sensational passage of play below.
