Sorokaite ties all-time VNL serving record with 7 aces

Indre Sorokaite of Italy has become the third player in the history of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League to serve an all-time high of seven aces in a single match.
Hong Kong, China, June 4, 2019 - Italy's Indre Sorokaite served seven aces today against the Netherlands as Week 3 opened in the 2019 FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League, tying the all-time VNL record of most aces in a single match.

The 30-year-old opposite, who powered Italy to a 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-19, 25-16) victory against the Dutch in Hong Kong, now shares the record with team mate Paola Egonu (7 aces against Serbia, 3-1, last week) and Eda Erdem of Turkey (7 aces against Russia, 2-3, last year).
