Watch: Volleyball Nations League making history

Russia enter the court moments before the final of the Men's VNL in Lille.
Lausanne, Switzerland, July 13, 2018 - Look back at volleyball making history as the state-of-the-art Pierre Mauroy stadium in Lille, France set the scene for five days of spectacular action at the inaugural FIVB Volleyball Nations League Men's Finals from July 4 to 8. From monster blocks to super spikes and mega rallies, the VNL was packed with great moments from beginning to end.

Competition information


Featuring 16 teams per gender, the 2018 edition of the VNL began on May 15. Men's and women's teams played over five weeks of preliminary rounds with the top women's teams qualifying for the women's finals in Nanjing, China from June 27 to July 1 and the top men's teams progressing to the final six in Lille. Russia beat France to claim victory in the men's finals and USA defeated Turkey to win women's gold.
