Serbia meet President after Euro glory

 
Serbia's European women's champions met the Serbia President on their return home
 
Lausanne, Switzerland, October 7, 2017 – Serbia’s newly crowned women’s European champions continued their celebrations when they met Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. 

Zoran Terzic’s team defeated the Netherlands 3-1 (25-20, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18) in the final at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan to claim their second European title. 


The team met Mr Vucic, as well as Vanja Udovicic, Minister of Youth and Sports, Zoran Gajic, President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia.
 
At the reception team captain Milena Rasic presented President Vucic with a framed picture of the team on the podium in Baku.

Last week 10,000 fans lined the streets of Belgrade to salute their heroines on their return from Baku. The team then celebrated with them from the balcony of Belgrade’s Old Palace.
