World Grand Champions Cup: France take down Japan in straight sets

France claimed their first ever win at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup
Nagoya, Japan, September 13, 2017 – France claimed their first ever win in the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup at the expense of hosts Japan 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-23).

France lost their first match against Brazil in straight sets on Tuesday, but bounced back with a 3-0 win against the hosts. France have won 10 of their last 11 encounters with Japan at world level.

The Men’s World Grand Champions Cup features a total of six teams that play in a round-robin tournament from September 12 to 17. Nagoya and Osaka host the seventh edition of the tournament.
