World Grand Champions Cup: Italy defeat Brazil in five sets

Italy prevailed in a five-setter against Brazil to earn their first win in the 2017 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Grand Champions Cup
Nagoya, Japan, September 13, 2017 – Italy prevailed 3-2 (15-25, 27-25, 27-25, 18-25, 15-12) against Brazil in the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Grand Champions Cup.

All Italy-Brazil encounters at the World Grand Champions Cup resulted in five-setters. In their previous three meetings, Italy won the first encounter then Brazil won the next two. The victory allowed Italy to level the series and earn their first victory in the 2017 edition.

The Men’s World Grand Champions Cup features a total of six teams that play in a round-robin tournament from September 12 to 17. Nagoya and Osaka host the seventh edition of the tournament.
