Brazil defeated Venezuela 3-0 (25-10, 25-16, 25-14) and Argentina shut out Peru 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 21-12) as both favourites of the tournament remained on a collision course towards Friday's final.

Chile also scored their second victory in as many games, downing Uruguay 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-19), while Colombia beat Paraguay 3-0 (25-18, 25-16, 25-17) in the other matches of the day.
