#ThrowbackThursday: Japanese defiant in defence

Lausanne, Switzerland, January 28, 2016 – Japan are well-known for their defensive prowess on the court, never giving up and making their opponents work for every point.

This style of play has long been a feature of the world No.5 as this throwback to their FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship 1994 clash against USA in Brazil shows.

Japan will be in action from May 14 to 22 as they host the World Olympic Qualification Tournament, hoping for another Brazilian adventure at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
