Volleyball chain defies elements

Lausanne, Switzerland, January 25, 2016 - The blizzard that hit the United States over the weekend may have caused mass frustration for many, but that didn’t stop some eager volleyball fans getting involved in the volleyball chain.

Allan, Melina and Alex Kotmel from Leesburg, Virgina, USA braved temperatures of -2°c (27°f) to get involved in the global chain and show how to volleyball your way.

In December the FIVB asked fans to keep the ball flying all the way through the New Year with the volleyball chain, and players around the world have reacted incredibly.

Below is the latest volleyball chain, featuring countries around the world and thank you to everyone who submitted a video.

However, the chain does not stop here.

The FIVB wants to continue the chain into February.

Send us a video of you bumping, setting and spiking the ball on along with where the video was shot before February 16 to be included in the next edition of the video. Email or send your video to the FIVB’s Facebook page for your chance to be included. Why not also share your video on Twitter and Instagram using #VolleyballYourWay?
