Commission meetings begin in Lausanne

The FIVB headquarters in Lausanne will host of series of commission and council meetings in January and February
Lausanne, Switzerland, January 19, 2016 - The Rules of the Game and Refereeing Commissions kick off a series of meetings chaired by FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° at the International Volleyball Federation headquarters in Lausanne in the second half of January and early February. President Graça, who opened the meetings this morning, said: "I look forward to some important and productive meetings which will start a busy year for the FIVB, which will also include the Rio 2016 Olympic Games."

The Rules of the Game and Refereeing Commission meetings take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 19 to 20. They will be followed by Press Commission and Legal Commission meetings on Thursday, January 21.

Four meetings will take place next week, including the Development Commission and Medical Commission meetings on Tuesday, January 26, a TV and New Media Commission meeting on Wednesday, January 27, and Technical Commission and Coaching Commission meetings on Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29.

A Sports Events Council meeting will be the last of the series in the first week of February. It will take place on Monday and Tuesday, February 1 and 2.
