Egypt upset Tunisia to reach Rio 2016

Egypt claimed the fourth Olympic ticket in their history
Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, January 12, 2016 - Egypt men's claimed their place at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games following a 3-2 (25-19, 20-25, 25-18, 19-25, 16-14) victory over Tunisia in the Men's African Olympic Qualification Tournament final at Elende Hall on Tuesday.

It will be the fourth time Egypt appear at an Olympic Games, having previously qualified for the Los Angeles 1984, Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Tunisia were chasing a seventh appearance after playing at Munich 1972, Los Angeles 1984, Seoul 1988, Atlanta 1996, Athens 2004 and London 2012.

Tunisia will have a second chance to qualify for Rio 2016 as they will take part in the World Olympic Qualifiers in May and June 2016, along with Algeria who finished third with a 3-2 (18-25, 26-24, 25-13, 18-25, 15-13) win over Cameroon.
