USA women's team celebrates Independence Day in Ankara

USA women's team in their national colours as they celebrated their Independence Day in Ankara
Ankara, Turkey, July 4, 2015 – FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Pool C competitors USA were in a lively mood during their training session on Saturday, before their match against hosts Turkey at 19:00 local time.

The world champions may be far away from home but that did not stop them from celebrating their Independence Day. The players and coaches got into the patriotic Fourth of July vibe as they stepped into the training court, not just in their usual red, white and blue uniform, but had a more vibrant take on their outfit as their shorts and accessories were decked with stars and stripes.

Independence Day of the United States is a holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence from the British Empire on July 4, 1776, which regarded them as a new nation. It is a tradition in the United States to wear patriotic costumes as they bring excitement and enthusiasm to their Fourth of July celebrations.
