Poland beat Bulgaria in Pool K opening match

Poland defeated Bulgaria in their opening match
Carolina, Puerto Rico, July 3, 2015 – Poland started their 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix campaign with a straight-sets (25-17, 25-20, 25-22) win over Bulgaria in Pool K.

Poland controlled the match from the beginning with a dominating blocking performance (21-7) and superior service stats (7-5). As a result, four Polish players scored in double digits – Anna Greijman (14 points), Daria Paszeck (13), Agnieeszka Kakolewska (12) and Tamara Kaliaszuk (10) – while the top Bulgarian scorers, Gabriela Koeva and Yullya Stoyanova, could only manage eight apiece.

Poland dominated on offence and defence, and when Bulgaria threatened  to get back into the match, as they did in the second and third sets, Poland’s Greijman and Paszeck closed the door.
