Alvaro & Vitor Felipe end Mexico’s winning streak

In a thrilling three-set match (21-19, 19-21, 20-18) Brazil’s Alvaro Filho & Vitor Felipe defeated Lombardo Ontiveros and Juan Virgen, thereby ending the incredible winning streak of the Mexicans.

After winning one set each, it was point-by-point in the decisive phase of the tiebreak, both teams fatigued by the heat on the Rotterdam centre court and disorientated by the increasing wind.

The Mexicans warded off five Brazilian match points but had to surrender on the sixth, when Alvaro hit a well-placed serve down the line.
