Alvaro & Vitor Felipe knock out world champions

Alvaro Filho & Vitor Felipe upset the hosting country by eliminating the reigning world champions, Alexander Brouwer & Robert Meeuwsen from the Netherlands in the first knock-out round in Rotterdam Wednesday evening. The Brazilians won in straight sets: 21-19, 25-23.

Both sets were tight, but the Brazilians simply made lesser mistakes in the end. The Dutch had ample opportunity to enforce a tiebreak; they had three set points in the second set. But it was Brazil who finished it on their second match point.
