Tall Evandro saves the day for Brazil

With his powerful jump serves and ferocious attacks Evandro Goncalves had a big part in the 2-1 (21-15, 21-23, 15-13) win he and his partner Pedro Solberg over Poland's Grzegorz Fijalek and Mariusz Prudel Wednesday evening in the first elimination round in Rotterdam.

The Polish had great difficulty in service reception, but managed to win the second set even though the Brazilians had a match point at 21-20.

In the tiebreak the teams alternated in taking the lead, but again Evandro scored some important points in the decisive phase.
