CAVB launches new integrated management and website projects

CAVB Working group President Dr Amr Elwani, Vice President Mory Keita and Board member Majore Timba with Data Volley Representative Mr Emilio spirito
Cairo, Egypt, April 29, 2015 - The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has announced the launch of new integrated management system and website projects.

The new management system will be made available to all 53 African national federations and is part of the CAVB management's push to take the sport into a new era.

The new CAVB/National Federations Management System will serve as a unique continental communication and database platform and provide national federations with new technical resources. It will provide services to every member of the African volleyball community, including national federations, zones, board members, officials, referees, coaches and the media.

The CAVB will provide each national federation with its own management system, database and webpage, which will allow them to update their competitions online, register their players and upload their activities to the CAVB website and social media. Each national federation will be able to connect to the CAVB e-library and to e-learning materials.

Each continental zone will also be provided with its own management system, database and webpage, to upload zonal competition information to the corresponding web pages and social media. The zones will be able to download and submit various reports to the CAVB on line too.

CAVB officials (board members, zone presidents, commission presidents, technical supervisors, delegates and referees) will be provided with a login access to add and update their personal information. The database will also be used by the CAVB to assign officials to its competitions.

"The project was like a dream a few years ago - and now it becomes a reality," said CAVB Vice-President Mr Mory Keita. "The project reflects the solidarity of Africa and we should maintain our unity. I invite the entire volleyball family to join us because the project will benefit all," he added.
