Micronesia organise successful VCP Refereeing Course

A five-day VCP Refereeing Course took place from March 23 to 27 in the Micronesian island of Yap
Yap, Federated States of Micronesia, April 21, 2015 – A Refereeing Course under the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme took place in the Micronesian island of Yap from March 23 to 27, supervised by Guido Notaerts from Belgium.

There were a total of 20 participants – 17 males and three females – who were first-timers in a VCP Referee Course.

The most immediate goal for the national federation is to increase the capacity of officials, scorekeepers and statisticians, which the course can immensely contribute to and eventually be useful in their preparations for the Micronesian Games in 2018.

The national federation’s target for 2015 of providing training and certification for at least 15 officials through the VCP have been met, as all the participants passed the five-day course.
