Champions League coach Lebedew confirmed for FIVB course in England

Australian-born Mark Lebedew coached Germany's Berlin Recycling Volleys to bronze medals in this season's CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League
Loughborough, England, April 16, 2015 - Volleyball England are delighted to announce Mark Lebedew as the Serving/Outside Hitting tutor for the three-day FIVB Technical Seminar which will take place from June 4-6 in Kettering.

With over 15 years’ experience as a professional volleyball coach, Lebedew is the current coach of Berlin Recycling Volleys in the top tier of the German Bundesliga, who he led to the bronze medals in this year's CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League. Mark has gained vast experience internationally, at the Olympics, at FIVB Volleyball World Championships and also in the FIVB Volleyball World League.

CEV President Mr André Meyer said: “Our aim of the FIVB/CEV Development Centre in England becoming a dynamic hub for volleyball in Europe is starting to be realised. It is great to see world leading instructors and ambassadors of the modern game spreading their knowledge and developing the skill sets of players and coaches in England and Europe. We look forward to receiving the next generation of international players and coaches from the continent at our fantastic centre.”

Audrey Cooper, Volleyball England’s Technical and Talent Director, added: “It is great to welcome such a highly experienced coach and tutor such as Mark to share his expertise at our seminar. His success is testament to him embracing the key developments within the modern game and coaches and players attending the seminar will be able to take this away and implement this within their own clubs. For any coach or player, better understanding and technical ability in the outside hitter position will have a massive impact on performance.”

With Sue Gozansky announced as the Setting seminar tutor last week, Volleyball England are proud to be welcoming two experts of the modern game to England this summer. The course has attracted interest internationally and as far away as Madagascar. With these two internationally renowned coaches, the 2015 FIVB Technical Seminars are set to be a great learning opportunity for all.
