Kuwait hosts Level 1 Coaches Course

Course participants gathered in Kuwait show their support for the International Day of Sports for Development and Peace
Kuwait City, Kuwait, April 14, 2015 - A Level 1 Coaches Course is taking place in Kuwait from April 5-16 under the supervision of Course Directors Mr Shanwen Zhao from China and Mrs Razieh Seifzadeh from Iran, sponsored by the Olympic Solidarity programme.

The course has attracted teachers and a number of professional players, who have been provided with information about the latest best practices in coaching. The course aims to provide participants with the tools they need to coach Kuwaiti children and help them to develop their skills. It has also included very practical demonstrations related to warming-up and treating volleyball injuries.

The course participants include former Kuwaiti national team player Abdullah Taleb Amir, who is now a scout. He said: "This course will help my federation to teach us how to be coaches for our clubs and to teach kids the right basic skills in volleyball so that we can build the future of the sport in this country. I have learned a lot about teaching and coaching kids, including many basic skill training routines."
