Teachers gather for VCP course in Malaysia

A VCP Teachers Course gathered primary school teachers from different parts of Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, April 14, 2015 - A VCP Teachers Course led by Swiss FIVB Instructor Mr Chuanlun Liu gathered primary school teachers from different parts of Malaysia from April 6-10.

The teachers were introduced to mini volleyball and different ways of getting children involved in volleyball - the goal being to increase the number of volleyball players in the country's school championship.

One participant said: "I am very grateful for this course. Although I am a primary school coach, I had not mastered all the volleyball techniques. This course has taught me to be a confident coach who understands and can apply all the techniques. Besides, as a coach, I also have to plan interesting activities and games to attract student participation in the sport. I shall start organising mini volleyball events so that students develop an interest in volleyball. From there, I will be able to select suitable players to represent my school for tournaments."

Another participant said: "I have always used the old methods my previous coach taught me. While attending the course, I came to know that some of my methods are not accurate. The correct techniques and game formations discussed during the course have helped me a lot."
