FIVB sends sympathies to Vanuatu

Beach volleyball development in Vanuatu has seen great success in recent years, with the country represented at both the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in 2013 and at last year's Nanjing Youth Olympic Games
Lausanne, Switzerland, March 16, 2015 – The FIVB has contacted the Vanuatu Volleyball Federation expressing its deep sympathy following the terrible devastation caused by Cyclone Pam.

FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° said he hoped that the volleyball family and the people of Vanuatu are all safe in a letter sent on Monday.

“My sympathy goes out to all the people of Vanuatu who have been affected by this appalling disaster,” he said in the letter.

Cyclone Pam hit Vanuatu early on Saturday local time, with winds up to 300 km/h reported.
