Hungary players meet with Arnold Schwarzenegger

Hungary players Greta Szakmary, Szandra Szombathelyi, Zsuzsanna Talas and Evelin Vacsi portrayed with Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger
Budapest, Hungary, March 10, 2015 - Members of Hungary's women’s team recently met with the Austrian-born movie star, former Mr Universe and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger at the MVM Success Day in Budapest.

Last year, Hungary’s women secured a spot in the Final Round of the CEV Volleyball European Championship for the first time since 1987, resulting in an opportunity for Greta Szakmary, Szandra Szombathelyi, Zsuzsanna Talas and Evelin Vacsi to meet with the Hollywood star.

Accompanied by Judit Hegedus, the Press Officer of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation, the four players met Mr Schwarzenegger, presenting him with a calendar and volleyball.

Greta Szakmary and Szandra Szombathelyi commented on how excited they were by the opportunity. “I knew that we could spend only one or two minutes with him, and so we felt really excited,” they said afterwards.

Zsuzsanna Talas and Evelin Vacsi added: “He is a great movie star, but he is a human being as well. It was quite special to get to meet with him. We were very happy with this opportunity. Everything happened really fast. We just had some time to take a photo. We handed over the gift we had prepared for him, he was surprised, and thanked us very politely.”
