Eight breath-taking Stars in Motion clips show this week’s best

Luxembourg, February 20, 2015 - The complete line-ups for both the men’s and the women’s Playoffs 6 of the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League became known on Thursday and the eight Stars in Motion videos, featuring the best action of the Playoffs 12 second leg were released on CEV’s YouTube channel on Friday.

Interestingly, in both the men’s and the women’s competition, the selected One to Watch has deserved this honour even without playing a full match.  Asseco Resovia Rzeszow’s Marko Ivovic sustained a third-set injury, barring him from continuing the match against VfB Friedrichshafen, but his contribution to the eventual victory secured him the place in the spotlight.  On the women’s side, 20-year-old Louisa Lippmann came on as a substitution for Dresdner SC, but helped her team tremendously on their way to a big win at Fenerbahce Grundig Istanbul.

Outside spiker Ivovic also made the men’s Dream Team of the Week, joined by teammate Fabian Drzyzga as this perfect squad’s setter and Serbian compatriot Srecko Lisinac as one of the middle blockers.  Balkan neighbour Bulgaria also boasts two players among this week’s magnificent seven – Halkbank Ankara’s opposite Tsvetan Sokolov and Zenit Kazan’s libero Teodor Salparov.  The line-up is completed by Sir Safety Perugia’s outside spiker Christian Fromm and Belogorie Belgorod’s middle blocker Dmitriy Muserskiy.

Azeryol BAKU’s setter Lora Kitipova, Volero Zurich’s opposite Olesya Rykhliuk and libero Silvija Popovic, as well as outside spikers Jordan Quinn Larson-Burbach from Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul and Anastasia Markova from Dinamo Moscow, and middle blockers Ekaterina Lyubushkina from Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio and Cursty Jackson from DSC make up the women’s stellar seven of this week.

A phenomenal play from the match between Sir Safety and Jastrzebski Wegiel was chosen as the best among the men’s Top 5 Most Amazing Rallies, while in the women’s playoffs, most impressive was a rally from the game between Fenerbahce and DSC.

PGE Skra Belchatow’s Facundo Conte and Azeryol Baku’s Odina Bayramova lead the Top 5 Most Spectacular Net Actions for men and women, respectively.  Joining them in these breath-taking videos are also Volero’s Dobriana Rabadzhieva, VakifBank Istanbul’s Elitsa Vasileva, Agel Prostejov’s Stefanie Karg, DSC’s Loisa Lippmann, Belogorie’s Dmitriy Musreskiy, Friedrichshafen’s Simon Tischer, Jastrzebski Wegiel’s Alen Pajenk and Tomis Constanta’s Andrei Laza.
All Stars in Motion highlight clips are available online for the enjoyment of volleyball lovers across the world.  To live or re-live through some of the most thrilling moments of the week, watch and share:
