Iranian Women's Premier League champions Azad University end season with victory

Azad University celebrate after winning Iran's Women's Premier League
Tehran, Iran, February 19, 2015 - The last week of action in Iran’s Women’s Premier League saw Islamic Azad University defeat Isfahan Zob Ahan in five sets 3-2 (25-19, 13-25, 25-22, 16-25, 15-12). Azad University had claimed the league title a week earlier with a victory against Fars Hei’at in Shiraz.

Azad University and Zob Ahan finish first and second in the league. Tehran Gas end the season in third, followed by Khorasan Mizan in fourth position, Urmia Shahrdari in fifth and Fars Hei’at in sixth.

Final round of results:
Azad University – Isfahan Zob Ahan: 3-2 (25-19, 13-25, 25-22, 16-25, 15-12)
Tehran Gas – Khorasan Mizan: 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-17)
Urmia Shardari – Fars Hei’at: 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-18)

Final ranking:
Azad University - 27 points
Zob Ahan - 21 points
Tehran Gas - 20 points
Khorasan Mizan - 16 points
Urmia Shahrdari - 3 points
Fars Volleyball Hei’at - 3 points
