Mauritius prepare for sub-zonal Continental Cup event

Men's pairs Gilbert Alfred/Eric Louise and Olivier Alfred/Stephane Mooneesamy
Flic-en-Flac, Mauritius, January 22, 2015 - The selection process for the sub-zonal Continental Cup event to be held in the Seychelles on January 30 has been completed in Mauritius, after a competition was held in the western part of the island at Flic-en-Flac on January 18.
Twelve pairs were involved in the men's competition, while eight teams competed in the women's. Favourites Gilbert Alfred/Eric Louise finished first in the men's competition, beating Olivier Alfred/Stephane Mooneesamy 2-0 (21-11, 21-14) in the final.
These two pairs will represent Mauritius at the men's competition in the Seychelles. They will be accompanied by Nathalie Letendrie/Rachel Christine and Stephanie Louise/Christelle Parsooramen, the top two pairs in the Mauritian women's competition. Letendrie/Christine won the women's final 2-0 (21-13, 21-17).
The competition was under the supervision of Kaysee Teeroovengadum, President of Zone 7. Reza Itoola was the competition director.
