VCP Refereeing Course staged in Haiti

Course participants gathered at the Olympic Centre in Haiti
Port-au-Prince, Haiti, December 8, 2014 - A VCP Refereeing Course was held at the Olympic Centre in Haiti from November 26-30 under the supervision of Mr André Trottier.

The course brought together a total of 35 candidates, including 30 men and five women. Following a request from the national federation, aspects of refereeing related to both volleyball and beach volleyball were covered.

Haiti is in the process of developing its refereeing structure. The national federation gave its full support to the course and the participants were committed to learn as much as possible from Mr Trottier.

The Volleyball Cooperation Programme (VCP) offers a variety of courses that aim to satisfy grassroots needs and educate and motivate young people, teachers and coaches to participate in volleyball and beach volleyball. The refereeing course is a part of the VCP Course System since 2005 and is designed to educate and train new referees at a national level.
