The seminar in Thailand gathered 21 participants from five different countries
Bangkok, Thailand, December 2, 2014 - A technical seminar on setting led by Swiss FIVB Instructor Dr. Dusan Jarotta was held in Bangkok, Thailand from November 16-20, with 21 participants attending from five different countries.

The course participants included semi-professional university coaches and professional coaches from the national junior and senior teams, who were joined by middle-level coaches and beginners. The seminar covered different elements of the setter role, including technical, tactical, strategical, physical, and mental aspects of the position. Exercises were carried out on court in collaboration with a training camp featuring two teams from Vietnam.

Particular attention was given to different aspects of the setter role, receiver-setter-spiker communication, cooperation between coach and setter during a match and training routines designed to improve a team's performances in attack. Part of the seminar also focused on the importance of the coach's role as a motivator, creator and innovator in his efforts to improve his team's technical, tactical, physical and mental performances.
