France captain Toniutti joins Zenit Kazan

France captain Benjamin Toniutti sets the ball for Kevin Le Roux during the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland 2014
Kazan, Russia, November 25, 2014 - Benjamin Toniutti, who captained France to fourth place at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland 2014, has joined Russian Superleague title-holders Zenit Kazan.

Toniutti moves to Zenit Kazan from Italian club CMC Ravenna and after FIVB Volleyball World League 2014 winner Matthew Anderson announced his departure from the Russian club last month.

Speaking to the French Volleyball Federation website, Toniutti said: "I think that I am where I am now thanks to France's great run at the World Championship in Poland. If we had finished 13th, I would not be with Kazan today. The competition was a great platform for us, even if we will always be disappointed we lost to Germany in the final for third place."

Another France player on the move is Kevin Le Roux, who has announced his transfer from Italian club Copra Ardelia Piacenza to South Korean club Cheonan Hyundai. He will replace injured Colombian opposite Liberman Agamez until the end of the season.
