Five cities in Mozambique host Volley All Festival

The Volley All Festival in Mozambique took place in Maputo, Inhambane, Chimoio, Quelimane and Nampula
Maputo, Mozambique, November 17, 2014 - A Volley All Festival was organised in five cities in Mozambique from November 8-10, with 814 children playing volleyball and beach volleyball.

The event was organised over two days in the cities of Maputo, Inhambane, Quelimane, Chimoio, and Nampula. Participants played volleyball on the first of the two days, while the second day was dedicated to beach volleyball. The children were split into different age groups so that participants from different schools could play together. School teachers and staff from the national federation were on hand to coordinate the matches and help with refereeing, with the children often managing the scoring.

The festival proved to be very popular and similar events have been scheduled to take place on a monthy basis next year. The presence of an inflatable figurine representing Maningue Volley, Mozambique's volleyball initiation programme, was also a success with the children participating in the event in the capital Maputo.
