Volley All Festival in Doha fosters grassroots volleyball

The Volley All Festival in Doha saw 500 children participate in the grassroots programme
Doha, Qatar, November 11, 2014 - A Volley All Festival promoting volleyball at a grassroots level was held at the Al-Arabi Sports Club in Doha, Qatar on October 30. The event, which was organised by the Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) in collaboration with the Qatari Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Education, saw 500 children participate in a fun-filled day.

Players, organisers, sponsors, coaches and families were involved in the Volley All Festival activities. They were joined by Qatar Volleyball Association board members, Mr Mohammed El Fadala, Executive Director of the Qatar School Olympic Programme, Qatar national team coaches and players, coaches from senior professional league clubs and referees. The 500 players participating in the event included children from 44 schools.

The Qatar Volleyball Association honoured the best players, coaches and clubs at the end of the day, which was also covered by local press.
