Colombia to host Boys' South American Championship

The Boys' South American Championship will take place in Paipa, Colombia from September 10-13
Paipa, Colombia, September 9, 2014 - Paipa, in Colombia's Boyacá department, will host the nineteenth edition of the Boys' South American Championship from September 10-13.

The tournament is organised by the South American Volleyball Confederation, the Colombian Volleyball Federation and Boyacá Indeportes Paipa, and will feature teams from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Venezuela, as well as hosts Colombia. Three places at the World U19 Championship are up for grabs.

Colombia coach Daniel Moine said: "The team is well managed and will be well prepared. This is an important year for the members of our team - I think it is the most important in the career of our players." He added: "We have players from Antioquia, Bolívar, Santander and Bogotá. They know the level we are aiming for, so I have confidence in the performance of these players."
