Medical Outreach Programme scheduled at Men's World Championship in Poland

A Medical Outreach Programme will be put in place in Katowice from September 6-7
Lausanne, Switzerland, September 1, 2014 - A Medical Outreach Programme is scheduled to take place at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship Poland 2014 from September 6-7.

The Outreach Programme, which will take place in Katowice, is aimed at volleyball players, medical and technical staff, team managers and coaches. The aim of the programme is to train participants on matters related to anti-doping. Medical Delegate Dr Bruno Borges and representatives of the Polish Commission against Doping in Sport will be on hand to answer questions.

In addition, the FIVB will patronize an Injury Symposium and Congress of the Polish Society
of Orthopedics and Traumatology, which will be held in Wroclaw from 17-21 September, during the Men's World Championship which also takes place in the city. Dr. Jacek Kruczynski and Dr. Roald Bahr - both Members of the FIVB Medical Commission - will speak at the Congress.
