Wrocław, Poland, August 22, 2014 – Wrocław is using social media campaigns to promote the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014. The Polish Volleyball Federation, together with the city of Wrocław and Wrocław School Sports Association, has organised something that the city lacked up till now – free, open-air volleyball lessons.

Each Wednesday, in 15 places all around Wrocław, the inhabitants of
Wrocław can play with local coaches on a variety of courts: sand, grass and artificial. The more ambitious have an opportunity to meet with professional volleyball coaches twice a week on two municipal courts. A session includes a volleyball style warm-up, basic technique and drills and matches among the training session’s participants.

The campaign has already seen a couple of tournaments. According to the organisers, kids, youth and adults alike come to play and have fun. The level of the players varies a lot but everyone returns home satisfied. So far the training sessions and tournaments have gathered nearly 3500 participants.
