International Level II Coaches’ Course concludes in Guatemala

Thirteen participants received their certificates of approval during the coaches course level II held in Guatemala
Guatemala City, Guatemala, August 18, 2014 – An International Coaches Course Level successfully concluded in Guatemala City.

Cuban FIVB Instructor Ruben Sainz was in charge of the course which ran from August 4 to 16. The course included theoretical and practice sessions.

The closing ceremony was presided over by Enrique Santis, President of the Guatemalan Volleyball Federation, who presented the certificates of approval to a total of thirteen coaches from different countries of Central America and the Caribbean.

William Fernandez, head coach of the Guatemalan Women’s National Team, and Martha Sanchez, a former athlete of Cuba who competed at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, obtained the highest notes during the course.

Santis expressed special thanks to the NORCECA Confederation and to Mr. Helgi Thorseinsson, FIVB Technical and Development Director, who made this course possible in Guatemala.
