Iran stand a good chance of qualifying, says Andrea Zorzi

Iran can get through if Brazil don't focus
Florence, Italy, July 18, 2014 – Italian volleyball legend Andrea Zorzi thinks Iran have a good chance of qualifying for the semifinals of the FIVB World League today, as their opponents Brazil are already through and may be less focused as a result.

"Russia and Brazil's match was a classic, but if Brazil lose today, Russia are out," he said. "It has happened before that a team who is already through lack focus, so we could see Russia go out today."

Zorzi was also complimentary to FIVB World League debutants Australia, even though they lost to USA. "They were very good in every fundamental department, but in the end they paid for their lack of experience. They didn't believe they could play as well as they did in the first set consistently."
