The home crowds will help us, says coach Berruto

Berruto says his side can take the pressure in Florence
Florence, Italy, July 15, 2014 – As the World League Finals return to Italy after 10 years, coach Mauro Berruto is relishing the Azzurri’s opportunity to go for the title on home soil.

"We have been working very hard for over a month, thinking just about the final six in Florence,” says Berruto. “It’s not long until we play USA, and we are curious to see what the shape we are in.

“It will be a wonderful competition from the technical point of view and the fact that there will be teams from five continents is another added value. Playing at home increases our responsibility, but at the same time the Italian public will give us determination.”

Italy play USA on Wednesday at 20.30 (local time), and Australia on Friday at 20.30. For the first time, coaches can have their full squad of 14 players at their disposal, instead of having to chose 12 players.
