Lausanne, Switzerland, July 2, 2014 – FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° visited an exhibition at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) headquarters which "will serve as inspiration for the new FIVB Exhibition Hall to be built at the International Volleyball Federation's headquarters in Lausanne."

During his visit to the FIBA headquarters, which were inaugurated in June 2013 in Mies, Switzerland,
President Graça also met FIBA President Yvan Mainini. The two men discussed the ideas underlying the exhibition at the House of Basketball, which was put in place to remember and honour those who contributed to the sport of basketball from its inception in 1891. The exhibition houses the Pedro Ferrándiz library - seven thousand books in 20 different languages - an art collection, memorabilia, trophies and medals.

Only those who know the history of a sport can plan for its future. It is in that spirit that the exhibition at FIBA was set up and that plans to create a FIVB Exhibition Hall are moving ahead in Lausanne.
